About Kashish

I hail from the food capital of India—Amritsar—literally food heaven. Growing up, my love for food was obvious. Though I was surrounded by friends and family who ate extremely sweet desserts, I always had a more balanced sweet tooth.

Fast forward to college, I studied B.COM (HONS.) from SRCC, Delhi University and was surrounded with super authentic desserts in Delhi. My taste buds exploded with the varied flavours here and it opened my eyes to the endless and drool-worthy world of desserts.

After college as the natural next step, I thought of doing my CA. But thankfully right when I was about to complete the last level of CA, I realised my true passion lied in baking. I went on to pursue my dreams and trained at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu, London. I came back as a happy pâtissier and started my home business at Arome.

I learnt how much I loved each and every aspect of baking; sourcing the best ingredients, experimenting with unique recipes, getting the proportions right and baking delectable goodies. And me being type A about hygiene only helped my baking get better.

I'm not just into any kind of baking; but something I like to call 'the good' kind of baking. The kind that involves only the freshest and realest ingredients from across the world, avoiding artificial flavours and colours, and following sustainable business practices. I have a strong focus on taste and not just pure play presentation. So let's forget about things like fondants and copious amounts of cream. That's totally out.
